Job summary

Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) seeks a Research Engineer to advance materials structuring and the characterization of photonic integrated circuits within the PIXEurope Pilot Line.

You will contribute to nanofabrication and characterization workflows, interfacing with the Optoelectronics group and Nanocharacterization lab, and collaborating with academic and industrial partners on frontier PIC technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in integrated photonics material research and PICs.
• Ability to set up nanofabrication and characterization workflows.
• Strong collaboration with academic and industrial partners.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run and consolidate nanofabrication techniques for PIC development within PIXEurope Pilot Line.
• Set up, run and consolidate characterization techniques for PIC development within PIXEurope Pilot Line.
• Contribute to characterization and application-oriented activities of PIXEurope Pilot Line and related projects.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to establish high-quality characterization workflows.
