CEIMM at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in Madrid invites a highly motivated candidate for a fully funded PhD position on Wireless battery charging for future space missions: drones and rovers. The joint degree with UMons offers cross-border training and access to ESA and industry mentors.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or physics, with strong MATLAB, Python, and power electronics skills, and excellent English.

Formación

  • Master’s degree required in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • Good knowledge of power electronics and modelling of converters and magnetic components.
  • Strong analytical and research mindset; excellent English communication.

Responsabilidades

  • Design and optimize wireless power transfer solutions for space missions.
  • Contribute to high-frequency power electronics research and modelling.
  • Collaborate with international partners and training programs across Europe.
