Job summary

UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID seeks a recognised researcher to develop software prototypes (MATLAB/Python) for detecting radio-frequency interference in ground receivers and satellite systems. You will implement AoA, TDoA/FDoA, and Doppler-based localization, model orbital scenarios, and run validation studies.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Engineering or Physics, with publications in RF/signal processing and experience in MATLAB/Python. English at CEFR B2+ is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering (Telecommunications, Aerospace or related) or Physics.
• Publications in RF and antenna-array signal processing, emitter localization and geolocation.
• Proficient in MATLAB and Python programming.
• English level CEFR B2 or higher, demonstrated by certificate or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software prototypes (MATLAB/Python) to detect radio-frequency interference (RFI) in ground receivers and satellite systems.
• Implement observable estimation techniques (AoA, TDoA, FDoA, Doppler) and localization/tracking algorithms.
• Model orbital scenarios and Earth-space links, and run validation simulations.
• Document results, write technical notes, and support industrial verification and dissemination.
