IQS Barcelona School of Engineering seeks a motivated candidate to join the Biochemistry Laboratory for a PhD track on carbohydrate-active enzymes in cancer biology. The project provides interdisciplinary training bridging computation, biochemistry and biotechnology, with opportunities to apply for competitive pre-doctoral fellowships and to enroll in the PhD Program in Bioengineering.

Formación
- Master's degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques.
- Experience in protein engineering or metabolic engineering fields.
- Knowledge in bioinformatics and computational modelling.
- Strong motivation, proactivity and creativity; teamwork ability.
Responsabilidades
- Identify and prioritize enzyme candidates for project objectives.
- Design and evaluate protein variants; characterize activity and specificity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers and maintain records.
- Contribute to publications and presentations; participate in training activities.
