IQS–Ramon Llull University’s Biochemistry Laboratory in Barcelona is offering a research assistant position at the interface of enzyme discovery, protein engineering, glycobiology, and cancer biotechnology.

The project aims to translate enzyme design into biomedical applications for selective targeting of cancer-associated glycans, with multidisciplinary training bridging fundamental science with translational cancer biotechnology.

Formación

• Graduated in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields at the master's level.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques.
• Knowledge in bioinformatics and computational biology modelling.
• Strong motivation, proactivity, and creativity.
• Proficiency in teamwork as well as independently developing projects.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and prioritize enzyme candidates, design and evaluate protein variants.
• Experimentally characterize activity, specificity, and potential biomedical relevance.
• Collaborate with researchers from complementary disciplines.
• Maintain accurate experimental and computational records.
• Contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations.
• Engage in computational and experimental protein engineering activities.
