Protime, part of the SD Worx family, seeks an experienced HR professional in Spain to own People Service and payroll coordination. You will support employees and managers across the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliant HR processes and accurate pre-payroll activities within an international context.

You will partner with the People Business Partner locally and collaborate with teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. Fluency in Spanish, English, and Dutch is expected.

This is what you see yourself doing?

As our People Service & Payroll Specialist in Spain, you'll be part of our international People Services Team, working closely with colleagues based in Belgium (HQ), the Netherlands, and other European countries. Together, the team ensures a smooth and compliant employee experience across multiple countries. Locally, you'll also partner with the People Business Partner to support our Spanish employees and managers.

We're looking for someone with a solid background in HR operations and Spanish employment legislation. You'll be the trusted HR contact for Spain, supporting employees and managers on a broad range of HR topics while coordinating accurate pre-payroll processes and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

• Manage HR administration and employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to offboarding.

• Ensure compliance with Spanish labor legislation, HR policies, collective agreements, and employment procedures.

• Act as the primary HR contact and advisor for employees and managers in Spain.

• Coordinate and validate pre-payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely payroll input for external providers.

• Collaborate closely with payroll partners and support the monthly payroll cycle by supplying and reviewing HR-related data.

• Serve as a backup for HR administration and payroll-related activities in other countries, including Belgium (HQ), the Netherlands, and France.

• Maintain HR systems, employee records, contracts, and reporting with great attention to detail.

• Support managers on employee relations, HR policies, absence management, and other people-related matters together with the People Business Partner.

• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and contribute to continuous optimization and harmonization across countries.

• Support recruitment activities when needed, including coordinating vacancies and conducting interviews.

• Work closely with the wider People Services team to ensure a consistent employee experience across all countries.

This is you?

• You have several years of experience in a broad HR Generalist, People Officer, or People Advisor role.

• You possess strong knowledge of Spanish employment law and HR administration.

• Knowledge of Spanish payroll processes and pre-payroll coordination is essential; hands‑on payroll processing experience is considered an asset. Knowledge of Sisquella is a big plus, but not a must.

• You enjoy advising employees and managers on a wide range of HR topics.

• You are accurate, organized, and comfortable handling HR administration and compliance-related responsibilities.

• You can work independently while collaborating effectively with international colleagues.

• You are proactive, discrete, hands‑on, and enjoy solving problems.

• You communicate confidently with employees, managers, payroll partners, and external stakeholders.

• You are fluent in Spanish, English and Dutch.

• Experience in an international or multi‑country environment is a plus.
