Job summary

Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu in Esplugues de Llobregat, Spain, seeks a highly motivated Laboratory Technician with a Master’s degree to join the Pediatric Leukemia & Immunometabolism Laboratory. You will provide hands-on experimental support across projects, including in vivo models, sample processing, flow cytometry, and molecular biology.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Master’s degree in a life-science field relevant to pediatric leukemia research.
• Hands-on lab experience in cellular/molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
• Accredited training to work with laboratory animals and strict record-keeping.
• Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain rigorous samples documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process murine tissues and primary pediatric samples.
• Perform flow-cytometry staining and acquisition, and assist with cell-sorting workflows.
• Maintain mammalian cell cultures.
• Perform routine molecular biology procedures including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, genotyping, plasmid preparation, and support sgRNA-library work.
• Maintain accurate experimental documentation and coordinate sample processing, storage, and shipment.
• Support biosafety procedures and implementation of SOPs.
