seQura, a Barcelona-born fintech, is seeking a Payroll Trainee to join its People Operations team. You will gain hands-on experience across the full payroll cycle, Spanish labour administration, and our HR/payroll systems, gradually taking on more ownership as you develop.

You don't need to know everything at start; we value curiosity, numerical comfort, meticulousness, and a strong willingness to learn. The role targets growth into Payroll and People Operations with increasing autonomy.

Formación

• Beginning of career with genuine interest in Payroll and People Operations.
• Studied or currently studying Labour Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and detailed information.
• Organised, proactive and curious, able to ask questions when needed.
• Enjoy understanding how and why things work, not just following processes.
• Able to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Proficient in Spanish and good level of English.
• Experience with payroll software (A3innuva) is a plus.
• Payroll or HR administration experience is welcome but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Learn the payroll cycle end-to-end and support monthly payroll processes.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee data across systems.
• Support hires, contracts changes, leaves, absences and terminations.
• Learn Spanish labour and Social Security administration.
• Help ensure payroll accuracy through checks and reconciliations.
• Keep payroll documentation, trackers and controls organized.
• Assist employees by answering payroll-related questions with cross-functional teams.
• Grow ownership by taking on more complex payroll tasks over time.
• Contribute ideas to improve and automate payroll processes.
