Job summary

Rho in Salt, Catalonia is seeking a Payment Operations Associate to support day-to-day payment processing, including repayments, rewards, and credits, working with Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, and Compliance. The role is deadline-driven with impact on client statements and month-end close; you will handle ACH pulls, wire operations, and payments reconciliation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in payment operations, banking operations, or fintech roles
• Experience with ACH, wire transfers, card payments, and settlement processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle high transaction volumes

Responsibilities

• Process client repayments and recurring ACH pulls on a fixed schedule
• Issue rewards, credits, and incentives; reconcile against system figures
• Maintain credit and card program settings across systems
• Manage wire operations (recalls, returns, and enrollments) with partner bank
• Manage ACH operations and NACHA-rule compliant returns/reversals
• Support fraud and credit review; escalate for unusual transactions
• Produce weekly delinquency reports for Credit Risk, Finance, Client Services and Fraud
• Coordinate sanctions-related inquiries and legal notices with internal teams
• Coordinate Standby Letters of Credit with partner bank and month-end fee statements
• Identify manual steps for automation and keep procedures up to date
