Job summary

GMV Spain is seeking a technical lead for the CELESTE IOP End-to-End Payload Testbed in a hybrid role based near Madrid. The candidate will coordinate development, define system architecture and manage requirements across the lab environment for satellite navigation payload testing.

The role requires a degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace, Electronics, Industrial or Computer Science and strong experience in RF systems, signal processing, and complex systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace, Electronics, Industrial, or Computer Science.
• Extensive experience in systems engineering of complex technological systems.
• Experience defining and managing requirements, interfaces and architectures.
• Knowledge of RF systems and signal generation, acquisition and processing.
• High level of English.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain functional and physical architecture of the CELESTE IOP End-to-End Payload Testbed.
• Analyze and consolidate technical requirements, interfaces and use cases.
• Break down system requirements into functions, equipment, activities and tests.
• Ensure consistency between constellation simulator, payload, user receiver, control unit and instrumentation.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

We are looking for someone to take on technical responsibility for the CELESTE IOP End-to-End Payload Testbed, a laboratory platform designed to comprehensively verify and validate low-Earth orbit satellite navigation payloads. The testbed will combine radio-frequency signal simulation, precise time and frequency references, measurement instrumentation, test automation, payload monitoring and control, I/Q sample recording and analysis tools. It will enable functional and performance testing and the characterisation of the payload’s temporal and radio-frequency behaviour. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical coordination of the test bench’s development, undertaking the following tasks:

• Defining and maintaining its functional and physical architecture.
• Analysing and consolidating the technical requirements, interfaces and use cases.
• Breaking down the system requirements into functions, equipment, activities and tests.
• Ensuring consistency between the constellation simulator, the payload, the user receiver, the control unit and the instrumentation.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace, Electronics, Industrial, Computer Science or a similar discipline. And with extensive experience in:

• Systems engineering applied to complex technological systems.
• Defining and managing requirements, interfaces and architectures.
• Knowledge of radio frequency systems and chains.
• Fundamentals of signal generation, acquisition and processing.
• High level of English.
