Job summary

GMV Spain is seeking a Technical Lead for 5G NTN satellite payload integration to drive definition, integration and verification tasks. You will coordinate SDR, firmware and RF front-end interfaces with suppliers and the space platform to meet mission requirements and enable end-to-end testing.

The role requires a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics or Aerospace Engineering and practical experience in complex electronic or communications systems, RF, SDR or signal processing,

• Experience in integration or development of complex electronic or communications systems.
• Knowledge in RF, SDR or signal processing; ability to liaise with specialists.
• Experience defining requirements, interfaces and test plans.
• Ability to coordinate suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Defining and maintaining the payload’s requirements, architecture and interfaces.

• Reviewing requirements and performance specifications for RF, processing, synchronisation, power consumption and data.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

To recruit an engineer to provide technical leadership in the definition, integration and verification of a 5G NTN satellite communications payload. The project involves the integration of an SDR, 3GPP firmware and an RF front-end. The successful candidate will coordinate the interfaces between this equipment, the suppliers and the rest of the space system, ensuring that the solution meets mission requirements and can be integrated and tested. Their duties will include the following:

• Defining and maintaining the payload’s requirements, architecture and interfaces.
• Coordinating the integration of the SDR, firmware and RF front-end, and their connections to the platform and ground segment.
• Reviewing requirements and performance specifications for RF, processing, synchronisation, power consumption and data.
• Providing technical coordination for suppliers and in-house specialists.
• Identifying risks, incompatibilities and outstanding technical decisions.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and with experience in:

• The integration or development of complex electronic or communications systems.
• Solid knowledge in at least one of the following areas: radio frequency, SDR or signal processing; ability to liaise with specialists in the other areas.
• Experience in defining requirements, interfaces and test plans.
• Ability to coordinate suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical English.
