Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Ophthalmology based in Barcelona to provide on-site support for ophthalmic surgical equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting in operating rooms, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.

The role requires 70% travel within the assigned territory, strong English and local language skills, and a background in medical electronics or biomedical engineering.

Formación

• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in medical electronics or biomedical engineering.
• Field service experience in the medical device industry is highly valued.
• Fluency in local language and good professional level of English (spoken and written).

Responsabilidades

• Provide first-line on-site technical support for ophthalmic surgical systems in hospitals and clinics.
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and repairs per MDR/MDD and J&J policies.
• Deliver, install, and validate ophthalmic equipment in operating rooms.
• Implement upgrades and modifications across the installed base of devices.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to ensure equipment readiness.
