Johnson & Johnson in Barcelona seeks a Field Service Engineer, Ophthalmology, to provide on-site technical support for ophthalmic surgical equipment in operating rooms across Europe. You will install, maintain, and upgrade devices, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Travel to sites within the EMEA region is expected, with near-daily hospital engagement. The role requires a technical degree in medical electronics or related field, strong English skills, and the ability to

Formación

• Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in: Medical electronics, Biomedical engineering, Electronics or electromechanics applied to medical devices or similar.
• Field service experience in the medical device industry is highly valued.
• Fluency in local language and good professional level of English (spoken and written).
• Approximately 70% travel within the assigned territory; occasional short-notice travel within EMEA may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide first-line on-site technical support for ophthalmic surgical systems in hospitals and ambulatory settings.
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, troubleshooting and repairs in compliance with MDR/MDD and J&J policies.
• Deliver, install, commission, and validate ophthalmic surgical equipment in operating room settings.
• Implement upgrades and modifications across the ophthalmic installed base.
• Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and test equipment according to internal standards.
