Purpose: The Field Service Engineer, Ophthalmology is responsible for providing specialized technical service and support for ophthalmic surgical equipment used in cataract, refractive and Ocular Surface Disease (OSD) procedures.
The role is based in Barcelona, covering areas with a strong installed base of ophthalmic medical devices, and requires close proximity to customers to ensure fast, high-quality technical support in operating room environments.
This position plays a key role in maintaining optimal equipment performance, supporting surgeons and clinical staff, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. In addition, the Field Service Engineer contributes to the development of long-term customer relationships and the growth of service contract and service solutions business.
The role operates within the European Field Service organization, working closely with the local Equipment Manager, Sales, and Clinical teams, with occasional travel within the EMEA region if required.
