JD.com’s JINGDONG Logistics is seeking an Operations Scheduling specialist to optimize daily schedules across multiple warehouses and fulfilment centers, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.

In this role you’ll work with logistics managers, warehouse teams, and transportation units, applying scheduling software and advanced Excel to monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, OR, or related field.
• 3+ years in scheduling, logistics planning, or SCM.
• Data-driven and analytical problem solving.
• Experience with scheduling software and advanced Excel.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of WMS/TMS is a plus.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain optimal scheduling plans for warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, sorting, and last-mile delivery.
• Analyze operational data, forecasts, and capacity constraints to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with logistics managers, warehouse supervisors, and transportation teams to align scheduling with needs.
• Utilize scheduling software and tools to create, adjust, and monitor schedules in real-time.
• Monitor KPIs related to scheduling such as on-time performance and resource utilization.
• Prepare regular reports on scheduling performance and insights for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within scheduling and contribute to new strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in scheduling decisions.

Job Summary

The Operations Scheduling specialist at JD.com, Inc. is responsible for optimizing and managing the daily operational schedules across various logistics and fulfillment centers to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely delivery of goods. This role plays a critical part in maintaining JD.com's high standards of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain optimal scheduling plans for warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, sorting, and last-mile delivery activities.


• Analyze operational data, forecasts, and capacity constraints to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for improved efficiency.


• Collaborate closely with logistics managers, warehouse supervisors, and transportation teams to align scheduling with operational needs and business goals.


• Utilize scheduling software and tools to create, adjust, and monitor schedules in real-time, responding promptly to unforeseen changes or disruptions.


• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling, such as on-time performance, resource utilization, and cost efficiency.


• Prepare regular reports on scheduling performance and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.


• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the scheduling function and contribute to the development of new strategies and technologies.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all scheduling decisions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


• Proven experience (3+ years) in operations scheduling, logistics planning, or supply chain management, preferably within a large-scale e-commerce or retail environment.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.


• Proficiency in using scheduling software and advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.


• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.


• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage.
