Operations at Alan — The Operations Community’s core responsibility is to deliver at scale our insurance and health services: we build our platform and operational capabilities and run our processes to guarantee delight and efficiency. Our insurance position anchors us as we diversify with health and well-being services in 4 countries (France, Belgium, Spain, Canada). Our operations are increasingly complex and the challenges ahead are exciting. Being in Ops at Alan means joining a team of 50+ talented, committed and passionate Ops across our countries, with a lot of interactions with Engineering, Product, Care and other teams. We have a mix of Builder profiles and Operations Coordinators who deliver processes daily while improving them. We aim to deliver excellence to our companies and members and be ready to disrupt the traditional view of insurance or healthcare services.
Role location — For this role, you need to be based in France, Belgium or Spain.
Role focus — The Operations Coordinator works on a specific subset of services we deliver (e.g., claim reimbursement, fraud, clinic). Core responsibilities (about 70/80% of the time) are to: Run our Insurance or Health services processes (Ops Runners), ensure day-to-day follow-up and monitoring of operations, and flag risks and opportunities.
Continuous improvements — Approximately 20-30% of time, implementing improvements with product teams, improving external communication, auditing processes, and exploring automation.
Ops Coordinators are organized in pools (3-7 runners) collectively responsible for their scope. Topics include:

Experience — We hire within the A2-B level range. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds: operating processes and services for scale-up companies, especially in industrial/logistic sectors; experience in Support functions; customer-facing commercial experience; event coordination.
