Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite CAD Designer to support a large initiative involving model based design. The role involves converting engineering concepts into production CAD models and drawings, using CREO/Pro-E and a suite of CAD tools.

You will work closely with engineers to develop, interpret, and refine mechanical designs, ensuring drawings are manufacturable and aligned with project schedules, while managing documentation in Windchill/PDMLink and applying GD&T principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + 3 years of experience in CAD
• Experience creating 3D solid models, large assemblies, and mechanical drawings
• Hands-on experience with CAD softwares including AutoCAD, Solidworks, PTC/CREO, Windchill/PDMLink
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and be able to pass a government background check

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CREO/Pro-E
• Partner closely with engineers and researchers to develop, interpret, and refine mechanical design concepts and detailed drawing packages
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable, meet project schedules, and align with material and process requirements
• Manage engineering documentation, revision control, and approvals within Windchill/PDMLink and other product data management systems
• Apply GD&T principles and mechanical design best practices to support accurate manufacturing and product development
