Formación

• 5+ years of experience in 3D modeling and mechanical drafting using SolidWorks.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

• Experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus.

Job Description: Mechanical Design Drafter - Pamplona, Spain

Job Summary: The Mechanical Design Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D mechanical models, drawings, and technical documentation to support product development and engineering projects. This role works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop accurate design solutions, maintain drafting standards, and ensure compliance with industry and company requirements. The position requires strong SolidWorks expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to support the full product design lifecycle.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D mechanical models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Interpret engineering concepts and translate design requirements into manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop, revise, and improve product designs.
• Support the development and maintenance of drafting and modeling standards.
• Participate in SolidWorks PDM administration and document management activities.
• Maintain CAD templates, configurations, libraries, and related documentation.
• Review drawings and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform design revisions and modifications based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Develop illustrations and technical graphics for manuals, instructions, and technical publications.
• Apply engineering and mathematical principles to support product design and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within design and drafting processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in CAD Modeling, Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in 3D modeling and mechanical drafting using SolidWorks.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with SolidWorks PDM.
• Experience developing and managing configurations in models and drawings.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Additional languages are considered a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM.
• Strong mechanical drafting and modeling skills.
• Ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of engineering codes, specifications, and drafting standards.
• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to create and apply engineering formulas to design work.

Preferred Qualifications

• SolidWorks certifications.
• SolidWorks PDM administration experience.
• Experience developing and managing custom properties.
• Knowledge of ANSI Y14 drafting standards.
• Experience applying GD&T principles.
• Familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, injection molding, casting, and progressive dies.
• Knowledge of both imperial and metric hardware standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
