Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Offshore Wind Services Technician to join our team stationed in Spain, supporting the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm in the North Sea. The role involves electrical commissioning, testing, and maintenance on wind turbines onboard offshore vessels, with a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation.

You will lead technicians, perform high-voltage switching up to 11 kV/33 kV, and ensure compliance with safety standards while developing advanced technical expertise in offshore

Qualifications

• Electrical or Wind Technician apprenticeship, diploma, or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with LV/HV electrical systems and high voltage switching.
• Proven experience in commissioning, electrical service, or field activities in wind or similar industrial environments.
• Ability to lead technical teams, read electrical drawings, and apply safety rules.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore teams in installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and fault rectification of LV/HV systems on turbines.
• Execute and supervise commissioning activities per procedures and safety standards.
• Work across electrical systems including power converters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Interpret schematics and diagrams to ensure correct system configuration.
• Support energization, testing, and handover with accurate documentation.
• Diagnose LV/HV faults using appropriate test equipment and root-cause analysis.
