Job summary

maxon is seeking a Network Engineer in Barcelona to run and improve its Aruba network—Wi‑Fi, LAN, and ClearPass. You will join a small ICT security team and collaborate with security and firewall colleagues. The role is hybrid in Barcelona (3 days in office, 2 remote) with occasional travel to Switzerland (5–10%).

You will configure Aruba Central, ClearPass, and AOS‑CX switches, ensuring ISO 27001 compliance and meeting IT SLAs. Strong English and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Aruba Central experience.
• Must deploy and manage Wi-Fi 7 access points.
• Aruba ClearPass administration experience.
• Experience managing Aruba AOS-CX switches.
• HPE Aruba Networking certification (ACSP/ACX).
• Clear communication with IT and business colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, especially where security is involved.
• Experience working in a small team with external suppliers.
• Degree in network engineering or related + 2-3 years' experience.
• Good English.
• Based in Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Aruba Wi‑Fi environment via Aruba Central.
• Configure and maintain Aruba ClearPass (NAC, auth, access policies).
• Run the Wi‑Fi/LAN lifecycle project and rollout new access points and switches.
• Monitor and meet ISO 27001 requirements across LAN/WLAN.
• Provide network insights to security team and assist incident analysis.
• Collaborate with firewall team and external suppliers.
• Run Wi‑Fi service to meet SLAs and implement current security features.
