Job summary

ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Spain seeks a PIC Nano-structuring and Nano-characterization Research Engineer to advance PIC development within the PIXEurope Pilot Line. You will set up and optimize nanofabrication and metrology workflows, characterize materials and devices, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across academia and industry.

Qualifications

• Candidates should demonstrate strong expertise in fabrication and characterization of PIC-related materials.
• Expertise in metrology characterization in a 200 mm wafer environment.
• Defect and failure analysis from material structure to PIC devices.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, run and consolidate nanofabrication techniques for PIC development.
• Set-up, run and consolidate characterization techniques for PIC development.
• Contribute to characterization and application-oriented activities of PIXEurope Pilot Line.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams and establish high-quality characterization workflows.
