Job summary

ISGlobal is seeking a full-time LAB TECHNICIAN to manage activities of the PregMRS substudy within the ICARIA project. Tasks include molecular epidemiology of S. aureus, PFGE analysis, and collaboration across the Microbiology Department at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and CEK lab. English and Spanish proficiency required. Start date: November 2026. Salary: 30.656€ gross annually.

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience in the microbiology field.
• Experience in antimicrobial resistance and bacterial molecular epidemiology will be highly appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and characterize epidemiologically the bacterial S. aureus isolates within the PregMRS sub-study.
• Carry out the molecular epidemiology analysis by PFGE of S. aureus isolates.
• Work in the Microbiology Department at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and CEK lab.
• Support auxiliary tasks and ensure adherence to ISGlobal policies.
