IDOM, Madrid-based, seeks a Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineer specialized in tunnel ventilation to join the Infrastructure Technical Area. You will design ventilation and HVAC systems, coordinate with other disciplines, and contribute to project documentation on national and international assignments.

The role offers a flexible schedule, some remote work, and opportunities to grow toward a partner track within a multicultural, multidisciplinary organization.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technologies, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in technical offices designing ventilation installations (fans, HVAC, ducts, silencers).
• Experience with tunnel or infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Proficient in calculation/simulation tools for aerodynamics/CFD and BIM environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design and calculate mechanical ventilation and HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines during design and construction phases.
• Develop engineering documents: design reports, calculations, schematics, SLDs, layouts.
• Collaborate with the BIM/CAD modeling team.
• Prepare data sheets and technical specifications for equipment and suppliers.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineer specialized in tunnel ventilation to join the team of Infrastructure Technical Area at our Madrid offices.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and calculation of mechanical ventilation and HVAC systems.
• Coordinating with other disciplines during the various phases of project design and construction.
• Developing engineering documents such as design reports, calculation reports, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, layout plans, etc.
• Communicating and coordinating with the BIM/CAD modeling team.
• Preparing data sheets and technical specifications for equipment, including contacting suppliers and vendors.

ABOUT YOU

Apply if you…

• Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technologies, or Aeronautical Engineering
• Have 5 to 10 years of experience in technical offices designing this type of installation (axial/centrifugal fans, ventilation stations, air handling units, ducts, grilles, silencers, dampers, etc.). Experience in tunnel or infrastructure projects is a plus
• Are proficient in using calculation and simulation tools for aerodynamics/CFD (FDS, Ansys Fluent, Camatt, IDA Tunnel, etc.)
• Are used to working in a BIM environment
• Are a team player with technical excellence.
• Can work independently with a flair for innovation.
• Do have an advanced level of English.
