Unilever Spain is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join our Leioa plant's Engineering team. This hands-on role takes ownership of plant improvement projects from concept through implementation and delivers tangible impact on efficiency, safety, and operations on the shop floor.

You will design and lead projects in collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Safety, coordinating with suppliers and contractors while engaging with Unilever's global engineering networks to

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Potential to grow into project leadership roles and manage projects independently.
• Working knowledge of P&ID, Microstation, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools.
• Experience with CAPEX investments or technical initiatives preferred.
• Strong safety understanding and engineering best practices in manufacturing.
• Excellent project management, organizational and stakeholder skills.
• Hands-on approach balancing shopfloor presence and planning activities.
• Advanced English skills, written and spoken for international collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead improvement projects from definition to delivery, managing scope, resources and timelines.
• Drive change management activities for technical projects with structured documentation.
• Partner with suppliers and contractors to develop safety plans and ensure compliance.
• Oversee daily project execution, approve permits, and own technical/safety aspects.
• Manage project budgets with Finance and monitor CAPEX alignment.
• Support governance processes, project prioritization and cross-functional coordination.
• Design installations meeting multiple department needs and translate requirements into solutions.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly to suppliers and align stakeholders.
• Coordinate multiple complex projects with production schedules and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with other Unilever sites and global teams to share best practices.
