RED Engineering Design in Madrid is seeking an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to lead major data centre projects. The role will manage mechanical design, coordinate with teams, and liaise with clients to deliver robust engineering solutions.

You will ensure compliance with standards and manage project progress from conception through delivery. Ideal candidates have chartered status or equivalent, strong knowledge of building services, and experience with international consultancy

Formación

• Registered with a recognised Colegio Official de Ingenieros.
• Chartered Eng status or equivalent with appropriate experience.
• Significant experience in specification design for a range of building types.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety issues and legislation.
• Understanding of contract and business law.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
• Good understanding of British Standards/UK regulations/codes.
• Experience with invoicing and credit control.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Background in consulting or construction preferred.
• Good understanding of international working of a global consultancy.
• Act in an ethical manner per Ethics Charter guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Run major projects and lead the development, design and coordination of mechanical installations.
• Carry out cost and profit diagnosis including feasibility studies and fee bids.
• Review status updates and adjust schedules; prepare management reports.
• Develop and specify applications of controls and operating systems for building services.
• Survey, test and report on existing installations.
• Ensure drawings and calculations meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Represent the company at technical meetings with customers and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
• Coordinate engineering services and provide guidance to clients.
• Support project delivery per RED processes and project governance.
