Sécheron Hasler Group in Madrid is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and document mechanical systems for rail and industrial projects. You will support sales, participate in project kick-offs, and ensure designs meet client specifications and Sécheron standards.

In this role you will travel as needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust engineering solutions and production-ready documentation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• English required; Spanish, French, German or Portuguese are a plus.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support during sales and proposal stages.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings for assigned projects.
• Review tender documentation against specifications, Sécheron standards, and cost calculations.
• Coordinate and conduct site surveys, including international travel.
• Develop and deliver mechanical engineering designs for projects.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing documentation to support production.
• Provide engineering support to production, including testing and FATs when required.
• Support the Project Manager during reviews and approvals of mechanical designs.
• Prepare and coordinate technical responses to customer inquiries.

Main Tasks

• Provide technical support during the sales and proposal stages.
• Participate in internal and customer project kick-off meetings for assigned projects.
• Review tender documentation against customer specifications, Sécheron standards, and cost calculations.
• Coordinate and conduct site surveys when required, including international travel.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive mechanical engineering designs for assigned projects.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing documentation to support production.
• Provide engineering support to production, including functional testing and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) when required.
• Support the Project Manager during customer reviews and approvals of mechanical designs.
• Prepare and coordinate technical responses to customer inquiries through the Project Manager.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the energy transmission and distribution industry or in the design of special-purpose industrial machinery.
• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish, French, German or Portuguese would be a plus.
• Availability to travel.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team.
