Sécheron SA, a Swiss engineering group with a long railway heritage, is hiring a System Engineer in Getafe near Madrid to lead technical projects for onboard electronics and railway systems. You will manage requirements, develop system specifications, configure hardware/software, and run tests, collaborating with customers and internal teams across Europe.

Fluency in English and Spanish is expected, with some German an advantage.

Formación

• University degree in a technical field (IT/OT) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering projects.
• Experience in railway projects is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Requirements management for creating the System Specification
• Generates and manages project documentation and deliverables.
• Create configurations for onboard electronics such as event recorders, energy meters, and gateways.
• Specify and execute system tests per project requirements.
• Manages correct hardware and software configuration control.
• Occasionally develops PLC-based applications.
• Serves as the technical interface with customers and internal teams.
• Supports other engineers in technical tasks.
• Assists customers with technical questions and problems.
• Performs commissioning and customer training, mainly in Europe.
• Defines test equipment and tooling requirements and secures timely availability.
• Supports R&D in validating new hardware and software.
• Supports product management for standardized third-party solutions.

Main Tasks:

• Requirements management for creating the System Specification
• Generates and manages the technical project documentation and deliverables.
• Creating configurations for onboard electronic product like e.g. Event recorders, Energy Meter, Gateways.
• Specifies and executes system tests according to the project requirements
• Is responsible for the correct configuration control of the project, for both Hardware and Software.
• For some product can be required to develop a PLC based application
• Technical interface with the customer and internal employees
• Supports the technical work of the other engineers in the project team
• Supports the customer in case of technical questions and problems during the customer project
• Performs the commissioning and training of the customer, mainly in Europe
• Define test equipment and tooling requirements and ensure their timely availability
• Support to R&D for validation of new HW and SW solutions
• Support to product management for standardized solution with 3rd party components

Requirements

• University degree in a technical field like (IT/OT)
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Organized and able generate and maintain a project schedule
• Experience in railway projects, an advantage if the projects involved safety-related development
• Ability to identify project risks and opportunities
• You like to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Knowledge of Spanish and English both spoken and written is mandatory, advantage is having German

Preferred qualifications are:

• Knowledge of railway standard EN50126, EN50155, EN50463
• Advantage of security standards IEC62443-4 and ISO27001
