Mambu is seeking a seasoned Payroll Lead to oversee global payroll operations and Employee of Record arrangements across regions. You will ensure timely, accurate payments and tax compliance while coordinating with external vendors and internal teams.

Led by a strong focus on governance, you will implement new country payrolls, forecast funding with Finance, and drive continuous process improvements. A hybrid work model and cross‑border collaboration are key parts of this role.

Formación

• 7+ years of payroll operations experience.
• Experience with international or multinational payroll across multiple countries.
• Hybrid in-house / EoR environment experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop payroll teams.
• Understanding of tax and local compliance in global payroll.
• Ability to design, document, and continuously improve payroll processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsabilidades

• Forecast payroll funding and consolidations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations across jurisdictions.
• Support benefit deductions and contributions processing.
• Lead new country payroll implementations.
• Guide payroll governance improvements and controls.
• Lead and develop the Payroll Specialists team.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for Mambu’s payroll function globally including all of our entity locations and Employer of Record arrangements across EMEA, APAC and Americas
• Ensuring that all Mambu employees and associated Employees of Record are paid accurately and in a timely manner, including relevant tax and social security deductions
• Preparing payroll payment instruction and uploading to the associated bank accounts
• Running relevant payroll reports as needed, coordinating and checking payroll with external vendors, and validating payroll journals
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and internal customers
• Act as the main escalation point for payroll-related issues and queries
• Coordinate payroll approvals, funding instructions with Finance colleagues, acting as the first approver for payment instructions
• Coordinate with the Treasury team for payroll forecasting
• Prepare monthly payroll and tax reconciliations and payroll journals entries
• Ensure compliance with both statutory regulations and company policies across all jurisdictions in scope
• Manage internal and external payroll and tax audit requests
• Collaborate with Reward and People Experience colleagues to ensure accurate processing of benefit deductions, and ensuring payment of contributions to benefits providers as needed
• Implementation of new country payrolls as required
• Contribute to the development and improvement of global payroll governance and controls
• Leading and developing a team of Payroll Specialists, setting clear performance goals and priorities

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in payroll operations.
• Experience working within an international or multinational company, managing payroll processes across multiple countries and regulatory environments including experience of a hybrid in-house / EoR environment.
• Hands-on experience of setting up payroll in new jurisdictions
• Experience of leading and developing team members with the ability to hold people accountable to ensure deadlines are met
• Understanding of a global payroll function in relation to tax and local compliance requirements
• Process-orientated with the ability to design, implement, document and continuously improve
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to all levels of the organization.
