About the Role
Fiery is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Manager, Finance Operations - EMEA to support our global Finance Operations function.
This is a key regional leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Finance activities across EMEA. The role will work closely with global Finance and Accounting teams, business stakeholders, external partners, and third-party service providers.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted Finance partner for the EMEA region, helping solve operational challenges, strengthen financial controls, improve processes, and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
This role is based in our Barcelona, Spain office and follows a flexible hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee day-to-day Finance Operations across the EMEA region, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial processes.
- Serve as the primary regional Finance contact for EMEA, partnering with global Accounting and Finance teams.
- Provide guidance and problem-solving support across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), billing, and revenue-to-receipt processes.
- Oversee financial transactions across EMEA legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and appropriate internal controls.
- Manage relationships with EMEA vendors and third-party service providers, including contract administration and resolution of finance-related queries.
- Support annual and interim audits, working closely with internal and external auditors.
- Oversee cash management, banking administration, and intercompany funding activities.
- Manage the regional payroll function, working with relevant internal teams and external providers.
- Support revenue accounting in accordance with IFRS 15.
- Support and coordinate VAT-related activities across the region.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve finance policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process optimization and automation.
- Monitor changes in regional regulatory and compliance requirements affecting Finance Operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
- Support customs-related finance activities, coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to special projects and business initiatives.
- Promote a strong cross-functional culture focused on customer service, collaboration, process ownership, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 6+ years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role, including coaching and developing team members.
- Experience working across EMEA Finance Operations or in a multinational environment is highly valuable.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, legal entities, and external service providers is preferred.
