Job summary

Confidential employer in Palma, Mallorca seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support daily food prep and HACCP-compliant operations in a healthcare setting. You will work under the head chef to help manage 200 daily meals and maintain high safety standards.

The role requires formal culinary training or 12 months of kitchen experience, reliability, and flexibility for shift work. The contract is temporary to cover long-term leave with structured shifts.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary training and/or at least 12 months of proven kitchen experience.
• Solid understanding and practical application of HACCP food safety guidelines.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and great teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to kitchen shifts in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily mise en place and food prep.
• Regenerate food items, cutting, peeling, and preparing ingredients.
• Apply HACCP (APPCC) hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Collaborate side by side with the head chef and fellow kitchen staff.
• Help to produce 200 daily meals smoothly and efficiently.
