Airbus Operations SL in Illescas is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Industrial Maintenance Team. The role focuses on maximizing asset availability, safety, and performance across manufacturing assets supporting key aerospace programs.

You will drive continuous improvement, implement EN 15628:2014-10 standards, and lead sustainability efforts in industrial facilities. Proficiency in PLC/CNC and English is required.

Formación

• Education: Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in industrial asset maintenance, vendor control and asset lifecycle management in complex manufacturing environments.
• Technical knowledge in PLC and CNC programming; practical asset safety experience.
• Soft skills: high adaptability and collaborative networking.
• Languages: Advanced English.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain KPIs (Technical Availability, MTBF, MTTR) and liaise with internal customers.
• Create and optimize maintenance plans and manage spare parts inventory.
• Manage maintenance budgets and monitor external service providers.
• Lead end-to-end maintenance, CI, and sustainability projects.
• Contribute to asset acquisitions including technical specs and evaluation.
• Ensure EN 15628:2014-10 compliance for maintenance personnel.

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Illescas (Toledo) .

The selected candidate will join the Industrial Maintenance Team, an integral part of our central industrial infrastructure department . The team is dedicated to guaranteeing maximum availability, safety, and operational excellence across all manufacturing assets supporting critical aerospace programs . In this role, you will take part in optimizing asset performance, implementing European compliance standards (EN 15628:2014-10), and driving continuous improvement and sustainability in our industrial facilities .

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be :

• Ensure industrial KPIs (Technical Availability, MTBF, MTTR) while maintaining daily contact with internal customers .
• Create and optimize maintenance plans and manage spare parts inventory efficiency .
• Manage and optimize maintenance budgets, as well as monitor and control external service suppliers and performance KPIs .
• Manage end-to-end projects related to maintenance, continuous improvement, and sustainability .
• Participate in new asset acquisitions, including creating technical specifications and evaluating technical offers .
• Ensure compliance with European norm EN 15628:2014-10 for maintenance personnel qualification in alignment with Airbus central strategy .

SKILLS

• Experience: Experience in industrial asset maintenance, vendor control, and asset lifecycle management in complex manufacturing environments .
• Technical Knowledge: PLC and CNC programming knowledge . Knowledge and practical experience in industrial asset safety .
• Soft Skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, new business areas, and in a collaborative networking mode .
• Languages: Advanced level in English .
• Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in the automotive or aerospace manufacturing sectors will be valued .
