DXC Technology is seeking a Mainframe Storage Administrator to ensure secure, efficient operation of the mainframe storage environment across multiple locations. You will manage DASD, tape and virtual storage, perform SMS routines, and lead disaster recovery efforts.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with DFSMS, and the ability to work independently while mentoring peers. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in storage administration are expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mainframe storage administration.
• Strong understanding of mainframe storage technologies (DASD, tape, virtual storage).
• Proficiency in z/OS.
• Knowledge of storage management software (SMS, DFSMS).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Good knowledge of English.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data across mainframe storage systems.
• Perform daily storage management activities including SMS routines, DASD pool monitoring, and housekeeping batch jobs.
• Manage and maintain storage devices including DASD, tape, and virtual storage.
• Ensure data integrity and availability through backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization to optimize resources.
• Lead and participate in disaster recovery drills and document procedures.
