Arup in Madrid is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer to join our Water team. You will contribute to a broad range of national and international water projects, supporting design from concept through detailed stages, and collaborating with a global network.

The role emphasizes developing technical expertise in water infrastructure, working across projects with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality results in a hybrid Madrid environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Around 1–3 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably water infrastructure.
• Knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS and hydraulic modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of water infrastructure including networks, drainage, reservoirs and flood protection solutions.
• Contribute to multiple project stages from bids to detailed design.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Assist with hydraulic, hydrological and civil engineering assessments as required.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers and specialists.
• Participate in meetings with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
• Develop technical skills through mentoring and project delivery.
