Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Project Technical Lead for the Water Utilities Division, spanning Spain, the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on delivering clean water and wastewater projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and engaging closely with clients to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold a CEng, have detailed water sector experience, and be ready to evolve within a forward-thinking, employee-owned firm that values innovation and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised Professional Institution.
• Understanding of conventional and innovative water or wastewater treatment technologies.
• Track record of engineering technical coordination.
• Experience in development and delivery of feasibility and outline design solutions within the UK water sector.
• Ability to support bids, fee proposals or offers of service.
• Ability to check and review technical deliverables, calculations and reports.
• Strong communication skills with experience in collaboration across internal teams and clients.
• Desire to lead client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical delivery of clean water and wastewater projects within a programme of works.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time, on budget and to high quality standards.
• Collaborate with technical leads to align with framework requirements and client needs.
• Support bids, proposals or offered services and mentor junior staff.
