OpenAI Forward Deployed Engineers in Madrid lead complex end-to-end deployments of frontier models in production, partnering with customer engineering and domain teams. You’ll own discovery, scoping, design, build, and rollout, with a focus on measurable adoption and impact.

This role is based in Madrid with a hybrid work model (3 days in office/week). Relocation assistance available and travel up to 50% may be required.

Formación

• 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience including customer-facing work.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Experience delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
• Production-grade code experience in Python and/or JavaScript.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end deployments from prototype to production.
• Build full-stack systems that deliver customer value.
• Embed with customer teams to understand needs and drive adoption.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers early.
• Make trade-offs between scope, speed and quality; adjust plans to protect delivery.
• Contribute directly in code when needed to move progress.
• Codify working patterns into tools or playbooks for reuse.
• Share field feedback to guide Research and Product roadmaps.
• Keep teams moving through clarity and follow-through.
