Job summary

Openbank, Santander's digital consumer bank, seeks a Cards & Payments Product Innovation Specialist based in Madrid. You will drive product innovation, identify opportunities, and translate insights into scalable propositions for the payments ecosystem.

The role requires strong product judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership to guide Digital Channels, UX, Technology, Operations, and Risk teams toward customer-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in fintech, payments or digital products.
• Strong ability to identify unmet customer needs and translate them into differentiated product concepts.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and KPI-driven decision capabilities.
• High level of English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify unmet customer needs, fintech and retail digital trends, turning them into differentiated product concepts and scalable propositions.
• Define product vision, value proposition and prioritization based on customer value and business potential.
• Define customer journeys, business rules, requirements and acceptance criteria with regulatory and operational viability.
• Coordinate across Digital Channels, UX, Technology, Operations, Risk and external partners; lead day-to-day product decisions.
• Monitor market and ecosystem developments to identify partnerships and growth opportunities.
