Job summary

ATG Europe is seeking an Enterprise Platform Engineer for ESA in Madrid to administer, evolve, and modernize enterprise collaboration, service management, and software platforms. The role covers platform administration, modernization, cloud adoption, and DevOps practices within an Agile team.

You will work with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, contributing to upgrades, automation, and documentation, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java or Python.
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Understanding of REST APIs and web services.
• Experience using Git.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work in multidisciplinary technical environments.
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration, maintenance, and operation of enterprise collaboration and service management platforms.
• Configure and maintain projects, workflows, permissions, request types, automations, integrations, and user-facing services.
• Support users and stakeholders in the adoption of enterprise platforms.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve platform, application, and user-related issues.
• Assist with platform upgrades, maintenance activities, and lifecycle management.
• Produce and maintain operational procedures, user documentation, and technical notes.
• Contribute to platform modernization and cloud-adoption initiatives.
• Assist in migrating on-premises services to cloud-based solutions.
• Participate in testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Support analysis of existing configurations, workflows, and integrations to facilitate platform evolution.
• Contribute to adoption of modern platform capabilities and best practices.
• Develop and maintain scripts, automations, integrations, and custom solutions.
• Develop and maintain web-based applications and user interfaces.
• Develop and consume REST APIs.
• Participate in software maintenance, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support CI/CD and deployment automation activities.
• Assist with Linux system administration and operational activities.
• Participate in monitoring, incident analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Engage in Agile development practices including Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Contribute to software quality initiatives and automated testing activities.
• Support change management, release management, and configuration management processes.
• Document designs, implementations, test results, and operational procedures.
