Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Software Mission Systems Team, building the future development ecosystem with automation, tooling and virtual labs to support mission-critical software delivery.

The role involves designing CI/CD pipelines, APIs for internal PaaS, automated test environments with Docker/Podman, KVM/QEMU, and IaC-driven deployments, plus documentation for platform architecture and self-service guides.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 5 years in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Advanced level in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and automated quality integration.
• Develop software architecture, APIs, and internal tooling for a private PaaS.
• Create and deploy automated virtualized test environments using containers and hypervisors.
• Automate infrastructure deployment flows using IaC and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Optimize virtual network architectures and middleware (DDS) for real-time data communications.
