Job summary

Hyatt Grand Barcelona is seeking a committed Steward to join our Culinary team. You will ensure cleanliness and organization of crockery, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment, supporting kitchens, restaurants, and banquet facilities.

This operational role features a rotating schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams to maintain high hygiene and service standards, contributing to a world-class hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in Stewarding or similar role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, organization, and quality standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Spanish fluency required; English knowledge asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and properly store crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchens and stewarding areas.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure clean equipment is readily available and properly organized for operational teams.
• Support waste management and recycling procedures according to hotel standards.
• Collaborate effectively with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure operational efficiency.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs proactively.
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
