Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to oversee daily maintenance and repair operations across the property. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure guest rooms, public areas, Powerhouse, RO plant, and STP are kept in top condition.

You will lead a 24-hour engineering team, coordinate with contractors, manage parts purchasing, and work closely with Housekeeping to uphold luxury standards while delivering a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering, preferably within a large hotel that delivers five star quality.
• Mechanical/Electrical experience is required.
• The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels, across all areas, including contractors, suppliers, guests and of course our employees.
• A passion for providing a great guest experience and impeccable product.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of all engineering works necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and employees.
• Oversee the smooth day to day operation of the Engineering department, ensuring 24 hour manning of the property.
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with contractors and suppliers who will furnish reliable 24 hour emergency service as necessary.
• Ensure proper execution of work order systems and that items are followed up on for completion.
• Handling the purchasing of equipment, replacement parts and repairs, maintaining stock levels, including liaising with vendors and suppliers.
• Work cohesively with Housekeeping to maintain our guest rooms to the highest levels of quality and functionality.
