Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels Ltd in Madrid is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to oversee daily maintenance and repair operations. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure that guest rooms, public areas, Powerhouse, RO plant and STP are kept in top condition to support exceptional guest experiences.

• Proven experience in engineering, preferably within a large hotel that delivers five star quality.
• Mechanical/Electrical experience is required.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels, across all areas, including contractors, suppliers, guests and employees.
• A passion for providing a great guest experience and impeccable product.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of all engineering works necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees.
• Oversee the smooth day to day operation of the Engineering department, ensuring 24 hour manning of the property.
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with contractors and suppliers who provide 24 hour emergency service as necessary.
• Ensure proper execution of work order systems and that items are followed up on for completion.
• Handling the purchasing of equipment, replacement parts and repairs, maintaining stock levels, including liaising with vendors and suppliers.
• Work cohesively with Housekeeping to maintain guest rooms to the highest levels of quality and functionality.

About the role:

We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team! The Assistant Manager of Engineering plays a key role in overseeing the daily maintenance and repair operations across the hotel. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will ensure that guest rooms, public areas, Powerhouse, RO plant, and STP are kept in optimal condition, maintaining the high standards of quality and functionality that Four Seasons is known for.

Schedule & Hours:

This is a full-time position.

This role will primarily operate during regular weekday business hours. However, based on operational needs, occasional work on weekends and public holidays may be required.
