BIP Iberia seeks a Manager / Senior Data & AI Architect in Barcelona to bridge business and technology in Life Sciences. You’ll design robust architectures, defend them with clients, and guide teams from definition to production, collaborating across Spain and international BIP teams.

The role combines strong technical depth with commercial mindset, offering hybrid work in Barcelona, opportunities to shape the practice, and interaction with global specialists.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience across Data, Analytics, Cloud or AI with increasing architecture responsibility.
• Strong domain knowledge in Life Sciences and related regulatory context.
• Experience designing modern data solutions: lakehouse, data warehouse, streaming, APIs and governance.
• Deep knowledge of at least one hyperscaler (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) and multi-cloud ability.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or equivalent platforms.
• Strong SQL and Python; practical Spark knowledge and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of AI/ML and GenAI architectures, including LLMs, agents and vector search.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to present to executives.
• Pre-sales experience and ability to defend proposals.

Responsabilidades

• Design end-to-end Data, Analytics and AI architectures across data platforms, lakehouse, integration and governance.
• Translate Life Sciences needs into scalable, secure technology solutions.
• Act as trusted technical advisor for CIOs, CDOs and business leaders.
• Lead pre-sales activities: discovery, workshops, RFP/RFI responses and demos.
• Collaborate with Partners to identify and mature opportunities with credibility.
• Provide technical leadership to Data Engineers, Data Scientists and ML Engineers.
• Define architecture standards across security, observability and MLOps/Gov.
• Support solutions in production ensuring operability, performance and cost control.
• Contribute to growth of Data & AI practice in Barcelona and abroad.
