Lead Technical Support Engineer – Solar & Storage

Job summary

Canadian Solar seeks an Engineer, Technical Support to join the Technical Team reporting to the Director, Product & Customer Service. You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Tech Support to support our products in the EMEA region.

You will lead the team to provide technical and installation support for our products, drive revenue targets, and develop financial analyses for inverters and storage solutions using PV Syst and PV Sol.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or comparable; master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the PV/Renewable Energy business is a must, utility projects experience is a plus.
• Relevant prior experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or product management, ideally in the energy storage and/or inverter sector.
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a people leadership role, experience with startup company and ability to build the organization from scratch is a plus.
• Valid driver license required and willingness to travel, ability to work under high pressure.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage Technical Support, Field & Installation Services, overseeing pre-sales support and coordination of Field & Installation services.
• Provide consolidated input to upper management with insights and recommendations.
• Foster customer awareness, conduct site visits/trainings, generate new opportunities, monitor revenue and margins.
• Develop complex financial analyses for inverters and storage solutions using PV Syst/PV Sol.
• Meet quarterly and annual revenue/margin targets by driving deals with Sales Manager.
