ABB Robotics seeks a Senior 3D Perception & Computer Vision Engineer to advance perception capabilities for autonomous mobile robots. You will work with cross-functional teams across Spain (Sant Quirze del Vallès) and Switzerland, focusing on robust software for real-world deployment.

You will design and validate perception algorithms, mentor engineers, and contribute to IP and product improvements in a fast-moving robotics environment.

Formación

• 5+ years experience in 3D perception or computer vision in product-oriented or industrial environments.
• Proven industrial software engineering experience in modern C++, with Python; Rust is a plus.
• Experience with perception sensors such as stereo cameras, RGB-D cameras, and/or 2D/3D lidars.
• Experience with ROS, Linux, and Git in a professional development environment with strong validation.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, MLOps, robotic navigation planning, embedded Linux (Jetson), and code optimization for compute-limited platforms is a plus.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems independently and collaborate across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, production-grade implementation, and validation of CV and 3D perception algorithms for autonomous robots in real-world environments.
• Develop tools and run experiments on real robots to evaluate performance and failure cases.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promote best practices in software development, experimentation, and documentation.
• Contribute to technical direction and IP generation with customer value.
