Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Chief Engineer Reliability to define and execute the reliability strategy for its onshore wind turbine fleet in Spain. The role requires directing design improvements, enforcing reliability standards, and integrating proven engineering practices across products and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
• 10+ years in offshore wind energy reliability roles.
• Experience with complex wind turbine systems.
• Strong English communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the reliability engineering strategy for the onshore wind turbine fleet.
• Establish Design for Reliability (DfR) principles across new products, upgrades, and engineering development activities
• Act as technical authority for drivetrain, blade, and electrical systems
• Drive the adoption of high-reliability engineering standards where technically and economically appropriate
• Lead design improvements to eliminate recurring failures and increase fleet reliability performance
• Establish a structured feedback loop between field operations and engineering teams to support continuous improvement
• Apply offshore wind reliability learnings, predictive maintenance practices, and advanced condition monitoring solutions to onshore turbine development
