Nextpower Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Steel to drive DFM/DFMA, supplier readiness, and industrialization of steel components for a global supply base. You will collaborate with R&D/Design Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Procurement to ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, cost-effective, and reliable.

You will lead manufacturing technology initiatives for steel processes, plan prototype builds, and support engineering changes in a PLM environment.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering/industrialization for steel components and assemblies.
• 5+ years minimum experience in design for manufacturing for steel processes or steel machinery
• Experience with supplier-facing engineering activities including process readiness, tooling readiness, validation builds, and on-site troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in product development from concept through design release with manufacturing feasibility input.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify manufacturability risks and propose solutions.
• Lead manufacturing technology initiatives and readiness activities for steel manufacturing processes.
• Plan and execute prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Define and validate manufacturing readiness deliverables and ramp-readiness checklists.
• Conduct supplier factory readiness audits and support ramp execution.
