Cloudera is seeking a Lead Data Mesh Engineer in Madrid to own architectural execution of our data mesh and the data-in-motion backbone across multi-cloud environments. You will drive IaC, governance, and high-throughput streaming pipelines.

You will work with AWS MSK, NiFi on EKS, and on-prem data lakehouse, applying GitOps, schema contracts, and advanced observability to deliver scalable, compliant data flows.

Formación

• Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience architecting and operating Kafka (AWS MSK) and NiFi in Kubernetes (EKS).
• Proficiency with Terraform and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD or Flux) in production environments.
• Experience with Avro/AsyncAPI schemas and schema registries for data contracts.
• Background linking cloud event meshes to data lakehouses or big-data monoliths.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, provision, and maintain multi-AZ AWS MSK clusters and NiFi runtimes on EKS using IaC.
• Enforce data contracts via schema registries and governance hubs before production.
• Optimize cross-cloud data movement, storage, and compute using advanced techniques.
• Build fault-tolerant telemetry and tracing across streaming services and hops.
