DWS Group in Madrid seeks a Lead Engineer – Data Platform to drive the architecture, build and continuous improvement of a hybrid data platform. You will lead a small, high-impact team, set technical direction, mentor peers, and contribute to architecture and code across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role requires extensive Snowflake, Airflow and Kafka experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and a proven track record in delivering scalable data solutions within regulated settings.

Qualificações

• Deep Snowflake expertise across architecture, ingestion, transformation and governance.
• Strong hands-on Airflow with reusable DAG patterns and scheduling.
• Expertise in Kafka and event-driven architectures in production.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end architecture and evolution of enterprise data platform capabilities.
• Define technical roadmap, standards and reusable patterns for orchestration and data processing.
• Lead architectural decisions, PoCs and adoption plans for scalability and security.
• Establish reliability, observability and operational standards for data platform components.
• Drive platform automation via infrastructure as code, CI/CD and self-service tooling.
• Partner with architecture, security, governance and app teams for regulatory compliance.
• Mentor engineers, review designs/code and promote engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure fluent English communication.
