Mimacom is seeking a Lead Consultant – AI Transformation Office in Madrid to establish and lead AI Transformation Offices for clients, turning fragmented AI initiatives into governed, measurable outcomes.

You will work with CIOs, IT leaders, and architects to drive value realization, governance, and sustainable AI adoption while navigating regulatory considerations and multi-country governance structures.

Formación

• Experience in technology consulting or senior IT leadership roles.
• Proven track record establishing and leading cross‑functional Transformation Offices or Centers of Excellence.
• Demonstrated credibility with executive stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, CFOs) with a history of driving measurable outcomes.
• Strong technical background in engineering, architecture, platform leadership or related areas.

We are looking for a Lead Consultant – AI Transformation Office to join our growing consulting practice in Madrid. Together with the Consulting Architect, this role serves as one of the two anchor positions of the practice. You will build and lead AI Transformation Offices for our clients, helping them turn fragmented AI initiatives into governed, measurable, and scalable business outcomes.

As Lead Consultant for AI Transformation Offices, you will establish and lead the central function that transforms scattered AI activity into strategic, governed delivery. You will be accountable for ensuring that AI initiatives create tangible business impact and sustainable organizational change.

What You'll Do

• Establish the AI Transformation Office by designing the mandate, operating model, governance structure, decision rights, intake processes, and delivery cadence. You will serve as the primary point of accountability for executive stakeholders, including CIOs and IT leadership teams.
• Lead organizational change by building coalitions across business and technology functions, aligning stakeholders with competing priorities, and creating early successes that demonstrate value and generate sponsorship.
• Manage and prioritize the AI portfolio, determining which programs should be accelerated, delayed, expanded, or discontinued to maximize business impact and maintain strategic focus.
• Own the value realization narrative, including business cases, benefit tracking, success metrics, and executive reporting. You will confidently present and defend outcomes in front of CIOs, CFOs, and executive committees.
• Maintain technical credibility by engaging deeply with architects, platform teams, and engineering leaders on topics such as AI platforms, tooling, architecture decisions, cost optimization, and delivery trade-offs.
• Support clients in establishing sustainable governance models for AI adoption while ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.

What You'll Need

• Experience in technology consulting, enterprise transformation leadership, or senior IT leadership roles.
• Proven experience establishing and leading cross-functional organizations such as Transformation Offices, Centers of Excellence, platform organizations, or similar enterprise-wide functions.
• Demonstrated credibility working with executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and leadership committees, with a proven track record of driving measurable outcomes.
• Strong technical background in engineering, architecture, platform leadership, or a related area, with the ability to engage in detailed discussions around architecture, tooling, and technology investment decisions.
• Practical experience driving organizational change and overcoming resistance within complex enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies and operating models, including hands‑on use of AI-powered tools, familiarity with LLMOps concepts, and the ability to connect technical capabilities to business value.
• Experience working within regulated environments, ideally financial services, and familiarity with multi-country or multi-entity governance structures.
• Working knowledge of EU AI Act, GDPR, and related governance considerations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
