Simon-Kucher is looking for a Director Tech Strategy Advice (AI / GenAI) in Madrid to develop strategies for growth in healthcare and life sciences. This role requires deep expertise in AI and consulting, ensuring impactful client engagements. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, bridge business and technology conversations, and lead teams to deliver innovative GenAI solutions. A strong academic background and bilingualism in Spanish and English are essential to thrive in this position.

Formación

• At least 5-10 years of consulting or industry experience focusing on pricing, marketing, or sales software.

How You Will Create An Impact

• You assume responsibility for several concurrent projects, directly interacting with clients and providing them with top-line growth strategies including the targeted application of (Gen)AI where it drives measurable business impact.
• You work as part of a project team to develop IT strategies, design system architecture and optimize our clients’ technology landscape end-to-end considering the influence of (Gen)AI.
• You facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders, bridging strategy and execution and enabling informed decision-making on complex technology and AI topics.
• You guide clients through end-to-end (Gen)AI transformations, including use case prioritization, solution design, vendor/model selection, and implementation oversight.
• You combine strategic advisory with hands‑on delivery by designing and building enterprise‑grade (Gen)AI solutions (e.g., LLM-based applications, copilots, RAG pipelines, AI-enabled workflows) while supporting clients in strengthening their AI maturity (e.g. data infrastructure, governance).
• You develop expertise in our focus areas of Growth Technology (Pricing, Sales, and Marketing e.g., CRM and CPQ) as well as the overall technology market allowing us to increase the depth and width of our offering.
• You lead and develop junior tech advisors and data scientists, providing direction on both conceptual problem‑solving and hands‑on solution development, and ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• You start identifying business development opportunities by recognizing potential clients and proposing new project ideas, contributing to Simon‑Kucher’s growth.

Your Profile

• You have an excellent academic degree, e.g., in business, information technology, engineering, data science, or a related field.
• You have at least 5-10 years of consulting or industry experience, with a notable focus on pricing, marketing, or sales software and a track record of delivering (Gen)AI‑driven initiatives.
• You have hands‑on experience in building and deploying enterprise‑grade (Gen)AI solutions, such as LLM-based applications, RAG architectures, AI copilots, or intelligent automation workflows.
• You possess a solid understanding of (Gen)AI technologies and concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, orchestration frameworks) and how to apply them in scalable, production‑ready environments.
• You are experienced in designing end‑to‑end solution architectures and data landscapes, including enabling AI readiness through robust data infrastructure, data quality, and governance frameworks, and integrating (Gen)AI into enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, CPQ, ERP).
• You have a very good understanding of vendor selection and RFP/RFI processes e.g. for (Gen)AI, PO&M, CPQ, CRM, ERP or CLM software.
• You are up to date with technological and software industry‑specific trends and developments and keen on expanding your knowledge by quickly and independently digging into new (niche) software product.
• You are familiar with the IT landscape and architecture of different organization sizes and complexities and can advise our clients on how to reach next‑level excellence.
• You bring experience in leading multidisciplinary teams (e.g., consultants, engineers, data scientists) and coaching junior colleagues.
• You are proficient in steering strategic projects, overseeing teams, and engaging various stakeholders effectively. You can communicate fluently in Spanish and English.
• Complementing your strong analytical skills and eye for detail with a conscientious and dynamic attitude, you are a highly skilled communicator and presenter.
